Photographic Typology

This series of photos shows a look into the brick walls of the alleyways of Chicago and how they have stood up to the test of time. I decided to conduct this study after becoming facinated by the layers and layers of paint that I could see chipping away at the brick walls of a building I would frquently pass on my daily commute. I found that though the front facades of most buildings in Chicago were kept very prestine, the back alleyways showed the ture colors and age of the building's exterior.
